Belarus has the largest denomination, there are more than 1.3 thousand churches and more than 30 monasteries in the country. And a bright holiday was awaited in every corner of Belarus.
Sputnik’s photojournalist looked at the preparations for the Christmas service in the church of St. Elisabeth Convent.
And so the Christmas service took place in the city of Zhitkovichi, Gomel region. It was headed by the rector of the Church of St. Theodosius of Chernigov, Father Nikolai.
