the SMAHRT trade fair postponed by two months because of the new sanitary rules
It has just been postponed for two months. The seventh edition of SMAHRT will not take place on January 30 and February 1, 2022 as initially planned. At issue: the latest government statements. As a reminder, the Prime Minister announced additional health restriction measures to fight the Covid-19 epidemic on December 27, 2021.
Jean Castex had in particular announced the return of gauges for events indoors and outdoors and the ban on standing concerts. Unlike the latter, lounges are still allowed. They are also not subject to gauges like fairs and amusement parks. The organizer of SMAHRT has nevertheless decided to postpone the date of the show. New health rules must indeed be applied as the ban on eating and drinking while standing.
The director of Toulouse Events explains this choice
For Toulouse Events, this measure is unimaginable in a salon dedicated to catering, hotel and catering, where many tastings are offered. But that’s not the only reason the organizers made this decision. Patrice Vassal, Managing Director of Toulouse Events, explains in a press release:
“We are in a good position to know that since the pandemic, everyone involved in the event must show solidarity. We saw ourselves as a poor organizer. this event placed under the sign of the exchange and conviviality, while the sector has suffered the full brunt of the fifth wave and the latest announcements from the authorities “. optimum business flowl who built the reputation of SMAHRT “.
The SMAHRT fair will be held on March 20, 21 and 22, 2022
Toulouse Events has therefore chosen to move the SMAHRT to March 20, 21 and 22. The show will be set up for the first time at Toulouse’s new exhibition center, the MEETT in Aussonne. In all, 300 exhibitors will be present on the 16,000 m2 of exhibition space. Many visitors are expected.
Restaurateurs, bakers, butchers, hoteliers, pastry chefs, pork butchers, chocolatiers, caterers, wine merchants, decorators, retail professionals … During the previous edition, nearly 16,000 professionals had gone to the living room. This year, the sponsor of the SMAHRT will be Guillaume Gomez, chef at the Elysée from 1997 to 2021. He succeeds Yannick Delpech, Franck Renimel, Bernard Bach and Franck Putelat. The show will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m..
