“Russian Messi” and rowdy Ignatiev. 5 Russian footballers who buried their talent
Football has not forgiven them for mistakes.
Ivan Ignatiev
We start with the “hero of the day” without a tie. Forward “Rubin” Ivan Ignatiev again stuck in history: a football player tipsy kicked out from a nightclub in Krasnoyarsk. I met my 23rd birthday and did not calculate my strength. Everyone makes mistakes in their youth, but the professional athlete will have to pay for bad habits and nightlife with a career.
When the young Ignatiev first appeared in Krasnodar, it seemed to many that the striker of the highest class was growing up: Ivan was distinguished by technical qualities and natural flair, which could give an amazing result in combination with work, training and experience. Unfortunately, the true goals of Ignatiev in football became clear after the scandalous story with the signing of a new contract with Krasnodar.
Soon, he helped to hush up the ugly stories of his own reputation, but soon the bulls got tired of babysitting an unreasonable athlete and were happy to accept the offer of the generous Rubin, who paid 7 million euros for Ignatiev.
Kazan with this transfer fell into the “milk”, because over the past two years, the forward 0 goals from the field for Rubin (scored three times from the penalty spot), in 2021 he almost did not play, this is not the first time he is shown in public in an unpresentable form: on the last birthday he danced with beer on the beach, now he is in history in a Krasnoyarsk nightclub. Ignatiev is farther from football and closer to the glory of Mamaev and Kokorin.
Ignatiev really cost Rubin almost 7 million euros.
Ignatiev scored 3 goals in 12 months, all from the penalty spot.

Ivan Soloviev
In 2012, 19-year-old winger Ivan Solovyov burst into Dynamo Moscow, played a couple of matches right off the bat, he was remembered by him. First, he made two assists in the match against Rubin, defeated with a score of 3: 0, against which the “blue-white” had not won the match for eight years. Secondly, he scored the winning goal against Lokomotiv.
Admiration for the Solovievs rushed from every iron, and soon it turned out that Ivan refused to renew the expiring contract with Dynamo and decided to join Zenit as a free agent. This is the beginning of the end of a career. Now Ivan is 28, he spent the last three years in Uzbekistan, where he defended the colors of Navbahor. Before that I looked into FNL and the Finnish championship, and spent a total of 54 minutes for the main squad of Zenit.
Konstantin Bazelyuk
Bazelyuk is a couple of weeks younger than Solovyov, and his career is unlikely to reach the level that Konstantin was predicted after a bright debut in the line-up CSKA… The tall forward played effectively for the “army” youth team, and when Leonid Slutsky called him into the main squad, Bazelyuk was not at a loss: he scored in RPL, came out as a substitute against Bayern in the Champions League and ended up in the expanded squad of the Russian national team under Fabio Capello.
Alas, there was no continuation, and after a series of business trips designed to revive the career of a talented forward, Konstantin was released from CSKA with the world. Since then, Baseluk has played FNL, where he feels more or less good: 12 goals for “SKA-Khabarovsk “last season, 7 goals for Akron since the beginning of the current championship. Apparently, Baseluk failed to play at the highest level due to mental problems. In any case, Valery Petrakov, who works with him at Torpedo, has a distant pejorative characterization:
Bazelyuk did not impress me. He has problems in everything. First of all, probably, in his psychology, his character. The attacker doesn’t have to be like that. The attacker must be a fighter. And he will be slightly touched – he falls and lies for ten minutes. Because of this, he simply did not fit into the team, although I gave him enough chances for him to prove himself. Nothing succeeded
Alexander Tashaev
Tashaev spent his first full season for Dynamo at the age of 21, then grew stronger in FNL, and the 2017/18 campaign turned out to be the best in his career: Alexander scored 7 goals and made 7 assists. Then he made a mistake by agreeing to move to Spartak. In the first season, he got enough chances from Carrera, Riancho and Kononov, but failed to prove himself.
The lease to Rubin did not bring the expected effect, and Tedesco did not see the winger in the squad anymore, and the recent leader of Dynamo received playing practice with Spartak-2 in the squad. FNL… In the “best league in the world” Tashaev continued his career and after leaving “Spartak” last year: trudging in the relegation zone with “Rotor”, from the start of the season he was marked with four assists. In general, Tashaev is now closer to FNL-2 rather than returning to RPL…
Denis Davydov
But “Russian Messi” is already in FNL-2, at the age of 26 he plays for Znamya Truda from Orekhovo-Zuevo, sometimes even scores and gives up. Davydov received a loud nickname from Leonid Fedun, who was so delighted with the abilities of young Denis, who became his curse. Really cool and the result Davydov played only for “Spartak-2”, which should not be considered a serious achievement.
For the “red-white” squad, he ran 37 matches and scored 1 goal, and although the hook was under Carrera, the champion was again sent back to the “two” for revision, because he did not even pull the status of “son of the regiment”. Then he rolled downhill altogether: a trip to Latvia and Bulgaria was interspersed with unsuccessful attempts to play at least FNL, and has sunk to the third force and the last division of Russian football. But what were the hopes!
