Police caught a young man who tried to break into Alzabox in Prague. An attentive witness helped to catch him
Police detained a 21-year-old man a few minutes after a failed burglary in the box to dispense the ordered goods. He was no newcomer to this “industry”, he was already responsible for property crime in court last year.
On Sunday, January 2, in the early morning hours, police officers from the emergency motorized unit detained a young man who, just before his detention, tried to unpack the box at Breitcetlova Street in Prague 9.
It serves as a box for picking up goods ordered via the Internet. She left the area before the police arrived, but the patrol found him shortly after. An attentive whistleblower also helped them, describing the suspect and his strange behavior at the box office to police officers on reference 158. Although he denied it, if he did not know the burglary, the contents of his bag betrayed him. The police found a crowbar in it, so he stayed behind the confession and stated the reason for his actions.
The biggest attraction was supposed to be electronics. Police arrested the suspect on the spot and took him to the police station for further actions. He is no newcomer to committing property crimes; in the past year, he has been responsible for these transgressions twice. In the first case, he escaped with a suspended sentence. In the latter, he was sentenced to community service.
Due to the detainee’s past, he faces up to three years in prison in the event of a conviction.
