Nitrous oxide prohibited on public roads
The mayor of Annecy has issued an order prohibiting the sale and consumption of nitrous oxide, in other words laughing gas, on public roads, for a period of one year.
Nitrous oxide * is a common gas found in food, aerosol and industry siphon cartridges. For some time, this gas has been used in a roundabout way for its euphoric properties.
The police as well as the urban cleaners found excessive consumption of this gas on public roads. Many cartridges are found abandoned there.
In view of the consequences that the consumption of this gas can have for the health of people but also for the security of our territory and the preservation of public order, the mayor of Annecy issued a decree aiming to prohibit detention on the premises. public road, for minors, cartridges or other receptacles containing nitrous oxide.
The use of cartridges for laughing gas purposes, the deposit and abandonment of cartridges or other receptacles containing this type of gas in public spaces, for minors as for adults, are prohibited.
The decree also stipulates that the sale or free offer of nitrous oxide in all shops to minors under the age of 18 is prohibited.
