Hanover. Quirky break-in in Hanover!
A man is in Hanover broken into a house. The focus was less on thick jewels or a lot of money.
Hanover: Napping with consequences
You don’t hear that every day: In Hanover Herrenhausen, a 25-year-old man broke into a house “Am Herrenhausen Bahnhof”, as the Hanover police report. Around 3:30 a.m., a resident noticed a person with a flashlight in the house – the actual residents should not be at home.
The attentive resident immediately alerted the police – a possible break-in seemed to be proven on site: two window panes had been smashed. The officers surrounded the house and went inside. On the upper floor, she makes a bizarre discovery: The 25-year-old burglar was lying in the house owner’s bed! He slept calmly and didn’t even notice the police action at first.
Burglar had marijuana and a knife with him
Since the police did not know whether the man could not be contacted for health reasons, the officers called for rescue workers. They woke the sleeping intruder and gave the all-clear – the 25-year-old actually just dozed off.

It is not currently known why the burglar was so tired. But he had a bit of marijuana hidden between his chin and scarf – he also had a knife with him.
The 25-year-old was brought before a judge on Thursday. The police are now investigating break-ins, property damage and violation of the Narcotics Act. The question is whether this nap was worth it. (jko)
