GENOA – Genoa and Porto Venere are the queens of the lights of Christmas in Liguria. This year’s competition took place in two separate tournaments depending on the size of the municipalities, with a tournament structure and a direct elimination. The Liguria Region will therefore make available to Genoa and Porto Venere as many influencers for the promotion of their respective territories.
“Also this year the game has attracted the attention of Ligurians and Italians loyal to our villages and cities – affirming from the Liguria Region Giovanni Toti – offering them the opportunity to know even more about the occasion of our land through the set-ups of Christmas lights along the coast and in the hinterland. In this case too, social networks are confirmed as a fundamental tool for tourism promotion and the enhancement of the territory. Our initiative was also useful to reiterate how Liguria is a tourist destination all year round, thanks to its attractions that go far beyond our beautiful sea and our splendid beaches “.
In the context of the contest, 684,463 people were reached, only for the final between the big cities between Genoa and Albenga as many as 150 thousand. A total of 48,967 people participated in the game with their vote, 10 thousand just for the final among the big names.
