what changes from January 6th
There are many Italians who in these days of Christmas and New Year have been stuck at home because Covid positive or quarantined. For many of them, however, the green pass has always remained active. For many others, on the contrary, it froze and even once healed. A huge problem, especially for those who need it for work or other non-postponable emergencies.
Just to remedy this impasse, the Ministry of Health established it automatic release of the green pass for those recovering from Covid.
Up to now, the green pass has been automatically integrated at the time of positivity detected by a swab in the pharmacy or at the ASL, and it is unlocked only after the general practitioner had entered the certificate of healing on the national platform. A limbo that has created so many problems.
Automatic unlock for the green pass for the healed
Now, to get the green certificate unlock you will no longer need the healing certificate, but the negative result of a molecular or antigen test will suffice. According to what was anticipated by Corriere della Sera, the automatic reactivation of the green pass for the recovered will start at 11pm today 5th January. The new system should be operational from January 6, the day of the Epiphany.
The Ministry’s technicians have modified the algorithms so that the change of condition of the citizen, from positive to cured, is recorded in real time on the national platform and on the IO and Immuni apps, and there are no delays in the new issue of the green pass. However, the negative paper swab is also valid for the purposes of certification of healing.
One thing that perhaps many do not know is that the certificate of healing valid as a green pass also reaches children recovered from Covid and lasts 6 months (for all the news on the super green pass obligation from 10 January, we refer you here).
Who is exempt from the green pass
We remember that the novelty does not regard who he is as indispensable exempt from the obligation to show the green pass where required. In fact, Covid green certification is not required for the following categories of people:
- children under 12;
- subjects exempt for health reasons from vaccination on the basis of appropriate medical certification. Until 31 January 20, the exemption certificates in paper format can be used, free of charge, by doctors or general practitioners or pediatricians22 that they issue as part of the national anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccination campaign
- citizens who received the ReiThera vaccine (one or two doses) as part of the Covitar trial until January 31, 2022. The certification issued by the doctor in charge of the trial center where it was carried out remains valid
- persons in possession of an anti Covid vaccination certificate issued by the competent health authorities of the Republic of San Marino, until 31 December 2021.
With regard to the extensions of validity of the exemption certificates, it is specified that a new release of the certifications already issued will not be necessary, except in cases in which these contain data of the interested party, in addition to those indicated for their condition, of a sensitive nature. (e.g. clinic of exemption).
