San Marino. Soccer and futsal stop for at least two weeks
The San Marino football and futsal competitions are temporarily suspended for at least two weeks.
The contingent situation, in terms of increased positivity in the San Marino territory and beyond, required a reflection from the club managers and Federcalcio, confronted yesterday evening with the presidents affiliation to the club of fifteen. The opinions and considerations of the top management of the companies have been recorded and in full awareness of the current social and sports scenario, the Federal Council – which met in the afternoon – deemed it appropriate to impose a forced break in football and futsalsammarinese matches of at least two weeks. Therefore, the next weekend will not be played, in which the football championship should have resumed with the matches of the fourteenth day, and even less the following weekend (that of 15-16 January). The situation will be monitored day by day, in consultation with political and health institutions.
In terms of done, football teams will be allowed to take measures at the facilities in this territory also – observing the anti-contagion formations currently in force – with a single limit, imposed by the desire to avoid promiscuous situations. From Friday 7 January, in fact, each facility can only be used by one team at a time, with the possibility – to get it done – to organize those who want Sunday in the days of Saturday and. Instead, it stops in toto futsal activity, whose first engagement in the recently inaugurated calendar year was scheduled for Monday 17 January, with the eleventh day of the championship.
