“I think that the authorities of Kazakhstan will sort it out, cope with the situation. They are actively working to relieve tension in society, ”noted Dzhabarov.
He wished “Kazakhstani friends to use them successfully to get out of this situation” and pointed out that “Russia is always there” and is ready to help.
At the same time, the senator said that the events taking place in the country should not be assessed as a political crisis.
Earlier at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation reportedthat they are closely following the situation in Kazakhstan. There they assured that there is no data on the injured Russian citizens.
Protests in Kazakhstan began on January 2 in the city of Zhanaozen, Mangistau Oblast, after an increase in the price of a liter of liquefied gas to 120 tenge (about 21 rubles). Before this price, a liter of gas was 60 tenge. In Alma-Ata, Aktobe and other cities, protesters clashed with the police and the military.
