At Dijon business school, ten refugees will undergo training
They are ten, this Monday, to start the (Re) Connect training at the BSB, the Dijon Business School. They come from Afghanistan, Ethiopia or Libya and expect this training to help them advance in their professional project. This is the goal of Céline Soulas, the creator of this training: “the idea is that this school offers keys, doors that will open”.
This is the second time that she has organized and managed this three-month training course. Aimed at refugees who know how to get by in French, this training offers French lessons so that participants no longer feel embarrassed with the language. “Very often people have benefited from rigorous and rich support in the Bourgogne-Franche-Com region. All these courses have improved their level of French especially, and we come afterwards to complete the training they already have. gives them the advantages of a business school, namely a network of professionals. “, explains Céline Soulas.
During the three months of the training, the participants will be followed by a “mentor”, a Dijon entrepreneur, who can give them advice and why not start a collaboration. During the first edition in 2020, some participants were able to continue working with their “mentor”, as Céline Soulas recounts: “one of the participants has set up his payroll management company and is now working with the accountant who was following him. ”
The participants are in pairs with students from BSB, the Business School. The mission of these student volunteers is to help them with the administrative procedures related to their training, but also to integrate them into school life. This is also what prompted Duaa, 21, to apply for the training: “I’m improving in French and at the same time it helps me communicate with others, because I’m rather shy.”.
By April 2022, these refugees will have completed their training. Most of the refugees hope that it will help them find professional training and why not find a job: next September, Duaa hopes to obtain a work-study program in a dental practice.
