Vinci Airports takes over the operation of Annecy Mont-Blanc airport
Vinci Airports resumed operations at Annecy Mont-Blanc airport on January 1, following the signing last July of the public service delegation with the Haute-Savoie Departmental Council. The concessionaire is now responsible for the management and operation of the airport for a period of 15 years.
Vinci Airports will support the business and leisure aviation activity through a € 10 million euro plan, co-financed with the Haute-Savoie Departmental Council, which will make it possible to develop the runway, ” improve the quality of service to passengers and crew by redeveloping the business terminal and accelerating the airport’s environmental transition.
The thermal renovation of the terminal, the development of a photovoltaic power station, the complete LED relamping of the platform, the switch to electric runway vehicles, the installation of charging stations for electrics and aviation support light electric will allow a very significant drop in CO2 emissions at Annecy Mont-Blanc airport with the objective of achieving Zero Net Emissions by 2030 at the latest.
