Vaucluse. The Avignon Place Pie post office reopened on January 4
Closed since October 21 for embellishment and modification of the concept (amounting to nearly € 400,000 all included), in order to better welcome its customers, the Avignon Place Pie post office has reopened its doors at public Tuesday January 4 at 2.15 pm Patricia and Jean-Yves, from Metz, among the customers who waited in the street while waiting for the fateful hour: “is practical rather than crossing the entire city center to go to the Post Office Republic “.
“Previously, there were on one side the counters dedicated to financial transactions and on the other, those dedicated to the mail / parcel branch and La Poste mobile. Today, we have multifunction islands on both sides, which allow us to adapt according to the flows. Our workspace is more functional, better lit, more ventilated, more ergonomic and the floor has been made to level, ”explains David Barthelet, operations manager.
Like the four employees of this office, he is delighted with this reopening, which “will unclog the Post Republic. In 2019, we are hosting 200 customers here per day at the counters and 300 on average, if we include the machines (excluding ticket machines, Editor’s note). The challenge today is to succeed in winning back this clientele, because some have taken up other habits, such as those who discovered our partner in Place Matheron, Carrefour City. “
Avignon Post Office Place Pie, 2, rue de La Petite Meuse, open Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. (except Tuesday from 2.15 p.m. to 4 p.m.) and Saturday from 9 a.m. at noon.
