Norway ready to give gas
DEBTS LESS: Last year, Norwegians’ total consumer debt was reduced by 7.1 per cent. Norwegians’ unsecured debt amounts to NOK 148.5 billion, according to figures from Norwegian Debt Information as of 1 January. During December, consumer debt was reduced by 2.8 per cent, almost NOK 3 billion, contrary to what Finans Norge expected. – We had expected that there would be a small increase in consumer debt during Christmas shopping, says Gry Nergård, consumer policy director at Finans Norge, in a press release. Two years ago, in January 2020, unsecured debt amounted to NOK 175.8 billion. During this period, the reduction was NOK 27.3 billion. © NTB
