Near Toulouse, a start-up turns a car’s windshield into a dashboard
EyeLights is showcasing its global innovation for the first time at CES in Las Vegas this Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
In your car, imagine that your GPS is displayed directly on the windshield. On the left, you take a look at the speedometer. On the right, the name of the radio show scrolls. All without ever taking your eyes off the road.
This science fiction scene is now a reality thanks to a start-up from Labège (Haute-Garonne).
After months of research, the young EyeLights company managed to design an augmented reality windshield.
A technological gem designed with the help of the AGC Automotive Europe group, specializing in automotive glass.
You can display a maximum of information in augmented reality, vehicle information, navigation etc … anything is possible!

We are convinced that the augmented reality windshield will be the next human-machine interface and that in the future screens will disappear entirely from the dashboard.

The start-up has already signed a partnership with a Japanese windshield manufacturer. Negotiations are underway with European car manufacturers. In Las Vegas, she hopes to seduce American suppliers.
Born in Labège in 2016, EyeLights is far from being at its first attempt. Since 2017, she has transformed her motorcycle helmet into a VR screen. The accessory allows you to display your favorite cards, calls and music directly in the field of vision. To date, around 10,000 bikers use this technology.
