International cooperation and Design: a research grant is up for grabs at the University of San Marino
Create a web platform in which to collect the most significant experiences, examples and episodes “in which the practice of Design has played an important role in local development processes in the Mediterranean area and in emerging countries”. This main activity is required of the candidate who will be awarded a research grant with which the University of the Republic of San Marino intends to consolidate the path undertaken for some time in the field of Strategic Design, where it has already studied interventions such as the definition of ” methodologies for technology transfer respecting local cultures and traditions “, as well as” processes of artisanal or industrial cultural development of small businesses “, reads the text of the announcement.
Hence the intention to proceed, thanks to the support of the figure who will win the research grant, with a series of analyzes and activities that will lead to the creation of the digital platform, developed with the aim of creating a network between institutional subjects, universities and organizations operating in the world in international cooperation. This will also be accompanied by the organization of initiatives such as workshops, conferences and publications.
The call, which expires on 24 January and is reserved for graduates in Design or Architecture, is accompanied by further selections with which the University of San Marino will identify six professors and teaching collaborators within the degree courses in Civil Engineering, Management Engineering, Design. The subjects involved: “Foundation structures”, “Construction of roads and eco-sustainable techniques”, “Experimentation and testing of structures”, “Institutions of economics and marketing”, “Product Design Laboratory”, “Exhibit Design Lab”.
