Four Hills Tournament in Bischofshofen live on TV and stream: catch-up jumping from Innsbruck on January 5th

The year 2022 is all new. Due to a foehn storm, the Bergisel jump in Innsbruck had to be canceled. Instead there are two competitions within two days in Bischofshofen.
The catch-up jumping from Innsbruck will now take place one day before the three kings competition. At the grand finale in the heart of the Salzburg region, spectators have so far been allowed – but only under strong corona restrictions.
Proof of 2G is required for the event. This means that only those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered are allowed to take part. Children up to the age of twelve are exempt from this. If you don’t have a ticket for the grand finale, you can also watch the sporting highlight from home.

Actually the training and then the three kings jumping for qualification would have taken place on January 5th. The plan was changed over at short notice. Instead, there is a trial run, the qualification and the rescheduled competition in Innsbruck in one day.
On January 6th, the qualification and the Epiphany will take place. It will also be difficult for the public TV broadcasters. Should the ZDF broadcast the jumping in Innsbruck, the ARD in Bischofshofen.
One thing is clear: ARD will have the grand finale from 5:15 p.m. Tom Bartels comments. The expert is Sven Hannawald, Lea Wagner moderates.
It’s easier with Eurosport. The divisional broadcaster carries both jumping from Bischofshofen as usual. There Gerhard Leinauer and ex-jumper Martin Schmitt sit at the microphones. The former national coach Werner Schuster is another expert at the start. The jumping starts on January 5th at 4:30 p.m., one day later at 5:30 p.m.

The current status of the Four Hills Tournament before the two competitions in Bischofshofen
After the two competitions in Germany, Ryoyu Kobayashi is the leader in the competitions in Bischofshofen. He won there already in 2019, when he, like Sven Hannawald and Kamil Stoch, won all four jumping competitions.

Four Hills Tournament: New record prize money
This year, the jumper expects a particularly high prize money. So far, the winner of the Four Hills Tournament has been able to take home a trophy in the shape of a golden eagle and CHF 20,000. This year’s winners’ bonus would be increased by a factor of five. At the 70th Four Hills Tournament, the winner will receive the trophy and 100,000 francs (around 96,000 euros).
If a jumper wins all four competitions and all qualifications, he will receive another 50,000 francs (around 48,000 euros) on top.
