Earnings rose 8.5 times last October
Budapest – The gross average salary was HUF 431,300 and the net average salary without the discount was HUF 286,800, the Central Statistical Office (CSO) said.
With inflation at 6.5 percent in October, real earnings growth was 1.9 higher than a previous one.
The regular average gross earnings calculated without bonuses, bonuses and one-month benefits can be estimated separately at HUF 409,200, which was 8.4 higher than a year earlier. The median value of gross earnings – as many earned more than they earned less – was HUF 350,100, 7.6 total higher than before.
Gross earnings among enterprises, 9 real, increased by HUF 441,500, median earnings by HUF 350,000, 7.7 higher than before. In the manufacturing industry, earnings grew by 5.4 percent and the gross average was HUF 445,600. The average earnings in the construction industry increased by 7.3 per cent to HUF 343 thousand. The average wage in October was HUF 403 thousand and HUF 275,300, respectively, with an increase of 8.2 per cent in trade and 9.6 per cent in tourism and hospitality.
The budget in connection with the scheduled wage increases in each promotion system – 9, 4 earnings increased. The CSO measured an increase of 38.2 per cent in health care, which increased the average gross earnings to HUF 547,100, and increased it by 10.5 to HUF 401,600 in education. In the field of public administration, defense and compulsory social security, the average gross earnings were HUF 490,100, 3.8 higher than before.
In terms of the total employment of employers, the number of people employed in October was 109 thousand, 3.7 years higher than the previous one.
In the ten months of last year, in January-October 2021, gross average earnings reached HUF 428,900 and net average earnings reached HUF 285,200, both of which increased by 8.5 compared to the same period of the previous year. Real wages rose 3.7 percent, with consumer prices rising 4.6 percent year-on-year.
