Six-PointTwo: An engineering company from Humpolec has started production of modular bathrooms

Sugar Mizzy January 3, 2022

Thirteen years ago, two young entrepreneurs founded the metalworking company Six-PointTwo in Humpolec. The company has been growing since the beginning and the coronavirus period has not slowed it down either. The turnover is in the hundreds of millions of crowns and is expected next year as well. This year, the company came to the market with an interesting novelty – the production of modular bathrooms.

The Humpolec company SixPointTwo employs skilled people in various professions. Its turnover for 2021 is 400 million crowns around next year, its company intends to increase. This year, it started manufacturing modular bathrooms.

“It is a complete assembled bathroom, you attach it to the metal beam frames, ie a kind of unimobile. It has all the equipment – from tiling and sanitation, to water and electricity. It can be installed anywhere in a new building, connected to networks and works immediately, “outlined the company’s CFO Jiří Vepřek. He sees the use of these bathrooms mainly in new buildings of hotel complexes or prefabricated houses.

SixPointTwo’s previous production focused only on metal production – logistics equipment – from storage racks to complex sorting systems, which can be used at airports or logistics centers, such as Amazon. All of the company’s production goes abroad.

Sophisticated products

“Our products are becoming more sophisticated. We have all the technologies under one roof, which allow all components not only to be machined, welded and surface-treated, but also to be assembled. We are flexible and we can respond to customer requirements, “Jiří Vepřek thought about what sets SixPointTwo apart from the competition. It does not help that the company has equipped itself with automated lines, welding robots, 2D laser and a new powder coating plant.

The numbers indicate that the company is doing well. “The company’s turnover for this year will be around 400 million crowns. Our ambition is to achieve a turnover of 500 million crowns next year, “said Jiří Vepřek at the end of 2021. He commented on the current situation in the company: “We have so much work to do that we would employ many more people than we demand now. But we are limited by capacity. ”It is said that they would need to add another half of the production to the current approximately 120 employees.

Even though the company’s operations are still running at full capacity, the company’s management allows the work team to relax. “We rely on a fair and relaxed environment in the company. In order not to live only, we organize various Challenge cups between departments. The employees have already competed, for example, in minigolf, riding an electronic bull or go-karts or shooting at the fairground shooting range we brought to us, “Jiří Vepřek described.

In addition to offering traditional benefits, the company provides employees with various forms of education, English courses are within working hours. Now SixPointTwo is expanding its team dramatically not only through a new product.

“We are growing and needing people in almost every position – from production positions such as painters and painting line operators, assembly workers or laser and bending machine operators, to management positions representing technology, quality managers and other employees,” says CFO. .
