Among the Grimaldi, as in many other royal and princely families, the family tree is complex. So in these first days of the year, immersed in the descendants of Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III, discovering the cousins of the hereditary Prince Jacques and his sister, Princess Gabriella.
December 10, 2014 prince jacques, heir to the throne, was born at the Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco, two minutes after his sister, Princess Gabriella. A birth who places Prince Albert of Monaco, 63 years old, at the head of a tribe of four children, including the first two, Jazmin Grace Grimaldi and Alexandre Grimaldi-Coste, born out marriage, cannot succeed their father. A large family which is completed by the many children of the prince’s sisters, Caroline of Monaco and Stéphanie of Monaco, and the brothers of Princess Charlene of Monaco, Gareth Wittstock and Sean Wittstock.
On the Grimaldi side, Jacques and Gabriella are surrounded by seven first cousins much older. Their aunt, Caroline of Monaco, eldest of Grace Kelly of Prince Rainier III, gave birth to four children : Andrea Casiraghi (1984), Charlotte Casiraghi (1986) and Pierre Casiraghi (1987), the children of Stefano Casiraghi, then Alexandra of Hanover (1999), daughter of Prince Ernst August of Hanover. As for Stéphanie de Monaco, the youngest, she offers her nephew Jacques and her niece Gabriella, three more cousins : Louis Ducruet (1992), Pauline Ducruet (1994) and Camille Gottlieb (1998).
Jacques and Gabriella, close to their little cousins
If the age difference between the twins of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, who are only 7 years old, is significant, they can take advantage of their first cousinon their mother’s side, Kaia-Rose (2013), who dwells on the Rock with his parents, Gareth and Roisin Wittstock and their many little cousins. So that Andrea Casiraghi has three children : Alexandre Andrea Stefano Casiraghi (2013), India Casiraghi (2015) and Maximilian Rainier Casiraghi (2018), his sister Charlotte Casiraghi gave birth to two boys , Raphaël in 2013 and Balthazar in 2018. As for Pierre Casiraghi, he is the father of two boys,Stefano (2017) and Francesco (2018). Children close to their age, with whom Jacques and Gabriella share the same interests and change their minds, while their mother, in convalescence, was unable to spend Christmas celebrationswith them. The twins also have two cousins from their uncle’s side, Sean Wittstock, but they reside in South Africa.
