Monday 3rd January
At the Verdi theater one of the most popular ballets and stories is staged: The Nutcracker. This year will be proposed by the Russian Classical Ballet with the artistic direction of Evgeniya Bespalova and Denis Karakashev, which since its foundation in 2005 in the city of Moscow, has fully preserved the tradition of Russian classical ballet.
Tuesday 4th January
Free guided tour by Mus.E, at 4 pm, to the exhibition “The research theater at the Rondò di Bacco (1975-1978)”. The journey begins with the story of the exhibition, curated by Massimiliano Barbini, director of Funaro in Pistoia and Andrea Strangio, PhD student at the University of Florence. Wednesday 5th January
After the New Year on TV, Massimo Ranieri returns to bewitch the public, this time in flesh and blood, with his “Dream” show. Appointment Wednesday 5 January at the Verdi Theater in Florence, for many years Ranieri’s “home” on the banks of the Arno. HERE for all the information.
Thursday 6th January
Among the various events organized on the occasion of the Befana we propose, if you have not yet done so, to take a ride on the Ferris wheel or to skate on the skating rink at the Fortezza.
We also remind you that at Palazzo Pitti it is possible to visit the new museum dedicated to the “Russian Icons”. The collection had been started by the Medici and then continued by the Lorraine and constitutes the oldest collection of this type outside of Russia.
Friday 7 January
“The little shop of horrors” is staged at the Verdi theater. The musical The Little Shop of Horrors based on the 1960 film of the same name directed by Roger Corman, debuted in 1982 at the Works Progress Administration Theater in New York in Italy and was produced by the Compagnia della Rancia. The musical tells the strange story of Mr. Mushnick’s flower shop, his collaborators Seymour Krelborn and Mushnick and the strange plant that the man bought in a Chinese shop during an eclipse ….
Saturday 8 January
Mus.E on Saturday 8 January at 16.00 organized a guided tour of the spaces of the former hard prison of the Murate, a pulsating testimony of the Resistance carried out by the fathers of the Republic in the Fascist era, inside which the signs and drawings are still found today. and the original traces left by the custodians, traces of life of unapproachable historical and cultural value. Sunday 9 January
The civic museums and Palazzo Medici Riccardi are free for residents of the Metropolitan City. It will also be possible to take part in the numerous visits and activities scheduled for families and beyond. HERE all the information.
