Covid San Marino: 831 new cases and two deaths this week
4008 swabs performed, 24 hospitalized patients, 5 in intensive care

The Institute for Social Security communicates the update of COVID-19 infections and the progress of the vaccination campaign: in San Marino there are 831 new cases registered in the last week from 27 December 2021 to Jan 2nnaio 2022, compared to 4,008 swabs carried out.
There are 24 people admitted to the hospital, of which 5 in Intensive Care and 19 in isolation rooms, while 1,098 people are followed at home. There are also 320 people in quarantine.
Compared to the previous update of 31 December, unfortunately, the deaths of a 96-year-old Sammarinese and a 90-year-old Sammarinese and positive results at Covid-19 are reported. The positivity rate on a weekly basis was 20.73%, with 520 recoveries and 27 hospitalizations (of which 6 in Intensive Care).
In the same period of 2020 (week from 28 December 2020 to 3 January 2021) compared to 199 new cases detected, 23 hospitalized (of which 10 in Intensive Care).
AntiCOVID vaccination campaign
The total number of vaccinations registered in San Marino since the beginning of the Campaign is 59,933 of which 23,575 people vaccinated with the first dose and 25,555 with the second dose or with the single dose. 51.3% of the vaccinated are female and 48.7% are male.
84.41% of the resident vaccinable population completed the primary immunization cycle.
10,803 people have received the booster dose, equal to 38.27% of the resident population that can be vaccinated.
