30 ecological islands arriving in Borgo
Too low quotation of differentiated: stops at 50% in the territory, a percentage far from the target of 70%, also “due to delays and political indecisions”, it is the Secretariats to the Territory and to the Relations with AASS to report it.
Percentages not in line with the circular economy criteria then as regards the collection ofhumid: data in hand, looking at the research started for months in Borgo Maggiore, “the collection of staff is not working – the Secretariats still admit – you should collect 3 kilos per person, while he is only collecting it middle”, A sign that most of the compostable waste is thrown away together with unsorted waste.
Institutions towards a definitive choice and two paths: the ‘door to door’‘, more effective and more empowering of the citizen, but also more employed by means and human resources; or, the street collection with bins, cheaper and which allows the user greater flexibility, but which also lead to less participation in differentiating correctly. By the way, given an assignment to the company Ecogeo: will have to draw up a project for displays the system collection and treatment, from which to draw up a waste management plan, which would be managed directly and through AASS staff and means.
You look at regulatory, European and Italian, which treaties on the workforce close to the production sites and, on the basis of this criterion, also in accordance with theEmilia Romagna, which allows the delivery of municipal waste if in quantity and without humidity. The construction of the composting plant has already been announced, arranging the existing ones and creating new yards in San Giovanni, and a professional assignment for an experimental project on the use of quality compost in organic crops of horticultural vegetables.
Another item on the table is the bins: “park inadequate and indecent”, located in non-strategic and often dangerous positions. By the way, the AASS already has some bought new ones and in the weeks 30 ecological islands will be set up, also in Borgo Maggiore, positioned on the basis of safety and for the convenience of users.
A new phase will start observation and data collection: if the model works, it will be extended to the whole territory; if the staff quota could not rise, we will opt for the ‘door to door‘. A good practice, that of composting, which the Secretariats intend to encourage and reward also by activating the punctual rate, or – they explain – the application of the principle “the polluter pays“.
