Europe podcast| #43: [Radioversie] End-of-year interview with Adam Price (director of Borgen)
Attention political junkies and binge watchers: there is a fourth season of Borgen. And in this last year’s episode of BNR Europa, Stefan and Geert Jan speak extensively with the maker of this Danish success series Borgen: director Adam Price.
According to Price, we can probably also see the fourth season of Borgen in the Netherlands from mid-April 20222, via Netflix. In Denmark Birgitte Nyborg’s latest political adventures can be seen from mid-February.
Brussels
Stefan and Geert Jan meet the Prize in Brussels, where he served as chairman of the European Book Prize Le Prix du Livre Europeen even present. An award that eventually went to the Greek Christos A. Chomenidis, for his book Niki – if you still wish this lockdown. Free tip from the house.
European film culture
We talk to Price for 40 minutes. Of course you will hear more about Borgen’s success and we will lift a corner of the veil of the season. But we put the conversation in a broader perspective. How does Price view European film culture? Are streaming platforms a win or the horror? What does he think of European politics: how inspiring are their appearances for price to make another political series? And: Price is not only a scriptwriter, but also a musician, journalist and…restaurant owner. He and his brother James Price own six restaurants. do they combine Danish cuisine with all kinds of other European flavours?
Which those are, we invite you to listen to our special end-of-year podcast!
The 43rd episode of BNR Europa (formerly Europa Podcast)
Hahn and De Vries keep a close eye on Brussels, the European Union, Schengen, the eurozone and the fringes of our continent. In addition to the interview with Adam Price, this episode also focuses, like every week, on ‘music’ from our continent. And this episode, of course, we’re going to Price’s Denmark. We did a little smuggling to get under Mariah Carey and George Michael, so we ended up with a number 3 this time.
You can see the entire playlist of this horrific euro trash by the way here included in our Spotify list.
This is the radio version of the interview with Adam Price, broadcast on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 between 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM.
