Crown Princess Mette-Marit – See the rocking detail:
When Mette-Marit (48) joined the royal family, she gained access to what is probably Norway’s most beautiful jewelery collection. Men for the trend-conscious crown princess, modern design is just as interesting. She often combines hereditary jewelry with modern treasures.
New family member
Over the past year, we have noticed that the Crown Princess has got a new favorite in the jewelry box. Namely a nail ring, which she last wore when she was on a pre-Christmas visit to the vaccine center at Grünerløkka in Oslo.
According to the website UFO no more, which specializes in identifying royal fashion, is the ring from the exclusive Cartiers Clash collection. They further write that the ring is of the smallest models and that it is in gold.
According to Cartier’s own website, a similar ring in rose gold has a price just over 23,000 kroner, while a similar one in white gold costs just over 25,000.

Royal favorites
Cartier is known for his beautiful watches and jewelry, and has been a favorite among royals for years. For example, Princess Diana had a “Tank” bell from there, which Duchess Meghan (39) wears today.
Meghan also has the iconic “Love Bracelet” from Cartier, which a number of other royals have in the jewelry box. These include Danish Crown Princess Mary (49), Swedish Princess Madeleine (39) and her mother Queen Silvia (78).
Very expensive
However, Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s ring is a little more rock than the aforementioned classic bracelet, and the love is also from a previous collection from Cartier.
– Cartier continues to position itself also in Scandinavia with a store in Copenhagen. With their Clash de Cartier collection, they aimed at a younger target group both in terms of design and marketing, says Ida Elise Eide Einarsdóttir, fashion and beauty manager at KK, to Se og Hør – and adds:
– Lily Collins known from the Netflix series Emily in Paris was the face of the collection. It’s more rock, more punk, but inspired by Cartier’s classic design. Expensive, but the cream of the crop. A ring that can be inherited for generations.
Skulls
However, this is not the first time the Norwegian Crown Princess has shown that she prefers a little more rock accessories. She surprised example with skulls in her ears during the celebration of Queen Margrethe’s 75th birthday!
There are many indications that her daughter Princess Ingrid Alexandra (17) thinks her mother’s jewelery taste is cool. She has in fact used one of the crown princess’s a little out of the ordinary calling. Specifically, a gold ring adorned with an eye and a pearl by Italian designer Delfina Delettrez.
However, it is not just the ladies at Skaugum who choose a little out of the ordinary with a royal look. Crown Prince Haakon (48) has also surprised with the choice of accessories at the castle.
