Car fire series in Berlin continues – numerous vehicles in flames – BZ Berlin
On Sunday night, at least nine vehicles went up in flames in Berlin. 13 cars had already been set on fire on New Year’s Eve.
Renault in Britz on fire
At around 4.45 a.m., the police and fire brigade were alerted in Hannemannstrasse in the Neukölln district of Britz, where a Renault Lichterloh was on fire. In less than 10 minutes, the Berlin fire was on site and began to extinguish the vehicle. A small van parked in front of it and a small car parked behind it were damaged by the intense heat, despite the rapid deployment.
Six vehicles on tenant parking lot in Charlottenburg damaged by fire
On the night of Sunday around 11:10 p.m., six vehicles partially burned out in a tenant parking lot in the Delpzeile in Berlin-Charlottenburg. The fire brigade put out the vehicles, but could no longer prevent a high level of property damage. Arson is currently assumed.
Peugeot burned in the discounter parking lot in Reinickendorf
Shortly before midnight, a Peugeot burned in a discounter parking lot between Pankower Allee and Simmelstrasse in Berlin-Reinickendorf. The fire brigade put out the vehicle, but could no longer prevent a total economic loss. Here, too, arson must be assumed.

Mercedes-A-Class burns on the parking deck in Staaken
In the morning around 3:30 a.m., a Mercedes A-Class burned out on a parking deck in Cosmaeweg in Berlin-Spandau in the Staaken district. The fire brigade extinguished the vehicle, and a VW bus with a Schweitzer license plate was also damaged.
The police are now investigating all cases.
