Foods from third countries were the worst.
Slovakia has the highest quality food. According to tests, they contain much less chemistry than abroad
We have something to be proud of. Slovak food is one of the best. This was confirmed by laboratory tests. They focused on detecting pesticide contamination. Compared to the competition from abroad, our products performed significantly better.
You will find them in the composition, but nevertheless pesticides contain more and more food. In the laboratories, they tested fresh or frozen fruits, vegetables, cereals and products from it, oilseeds, as well as beef liver, poultry fat and baby food. Through complex analysis, they looked for traces of pesticides and up to 56 percent of the samples were positive, 16 pieces did not even meet and exceeded the set limits.
The tests were performed on Slovak, European, but also foods from third countries. Comparison: domestic versus import came significantly in favor of Slovaks.
More than half of the tested foods imported from the Union were positive for pesticides, five samples exceeded the permitted limits. There was less than 40 percent of Slovak food with the finding. One sample of rye failed. Food from third countries was probably the worst.
