Find on Berlin playground – is that your wedding ring? – BZ Berlin
A huge shock just before Christmas: the wedding ring is gone! That’s how it must have happened, because Berlin’s Manuel Blechschmidt (35) finds a golden wedding ring in the sand the day before Christmas Eve.
Blechschmidt was with his daughter on the playground at Stuttgarter Platz: “I pushed her on the swing. When I lifted it out, I saw something round on the floor. “
At first the father thinks: It’s a bottle cap. But it wasn’t. The gold piece tells him: Ulrike and Julian tied the knot on September 24, 2018. This is how it is engraved in the ring.
The honest finder pulls out all the stops. He posts a photo of the ring on social networks, speaks to local channels – but no trace of Ulrike and Julian.
On Boxing Day he tweeted: “Update: Ring is still here and waiting for the owner.” Still, he does not give up hope. He turns to the registry office in Charlottenburg – initially with success!
At the office, Tanja Zeinert feels sorry for her and continues to research. So she finds out that Ulrike and Julian did not get married in their district, but in Tempelhof-Schöneberg.
It’s the second time this year that she’s helping out with a lost wedding ring. At that time she leafed through the entries of all marriages on that day and “thank God” there was only one person with this first name. The couple could be contacted and the joy was enormous.
Instead, Manuel says: wait. The ring is well stowed at his home until the couple call.
The system technician has a real nose for lost property, his list is getting longer and longer. Sometimes a 50-euro note in downtown Jena, sometimes even a security hole on the Deutsche Bahn website.
But he is particularly proud of a memory card that he found in Sanssouci Park: “It had a photo of a street in Berlin and an electricity meter from the cellar. We also found the owner of the memory card through the tenant of the apartment. Was a bit of detective work, but I really enjoy doing it. “
