A very special apartment for a young family was created in a new building in Karln
The architect, together with the owners, managed to create an atypical living with a simple and industrial aesthetics on an area of 120 square meters. The only and interesting interior was created with a relatively limited budget.
The individual living room cleverly combines industrial and recycled materials with design products, but also with a number of original pieces from the long-term Collarch studio.
Thanks to the willingness to experiment, material-built built-in cabinets, atypical wall coverings, dream dormitories and surreal cuisine could be created.
The architects not only met their specific design requirements, but at the same time designed an interior with plenty of living space, in which there are no visible excesses, dust trapping errors in the fields and whatever the floor.
Peds is covered from the floor, through the walls, and to the ceiling by a dark carpet. It defines the entrance sound and contributes to the attenuation of the acoustics of the apartment.
Built-in furniture in the hallway and in the room is made of PackWall construction boards, the presses are made of recycled Tetra Pak. In addition to the positive ecological aspects and low prices, the unique textures and colors, which have imprinted the hallway and the room in an unmistakable style, as well as architects Ondej Jank and Shota Tsikoliya from the Collarch studio, stand out.
The irregular floor plan of the family’s bedroom is made up of a light perimeter height around the double bed. In addition to pleasantly intimate knowledge, there is also a niche for the age of clothing, which is usually bloodied.
This space, together with a native family, is completely covered with a carpet with long hair, refers to the iconic design of the architect Adolf Loose and his wife Lina, and creates a sensual and kehk character of a different interior.
The most striking point of the apartment is the living room with kitchen. This is dominated by a sculptural kitchen countertop, which is also a dining table for several people.
The irregular shape of the countertop is complemented by a small object of a similarly random shape, which literally looks like a pile of concrete blocks and your work and washable area around the kitchen counter. lon rooms, oven, wine bar and bar tables are hidden under the plate and covered with edive fabric. These soft, organic, and random forms contrast with the otherwise orthogonal and medium interior of the room.
Fridge, freezer, dishwasher and put lon spaces are designed as ern niche in the side of the room. Opening the fridge, freezer and dishwasher is an atypical grip designed and manufactured by Collarch.
The interior is complemented by a series of designed heat exchanger elements. Among the most striking of them is an atypical ceiling light in the living room and a hood over the kitchen counter, one in a similar industrial aesthetic. Further, the home wiring is highlighted by tiling of sheet metal lengths or custom-designed minimalist bar stools.
