The government has failed in the waves of the pandemic, says Pellegrini

Opposition parties, along with trade unions, have launched a petition for a referendum on early elections. It was supported by more than 585,000 people. In the case of the petition, President Zuzana Čaputová turned to the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic, which ruled in July that the proposed referendum question on shortening the term of the National Council of the Slovak Republic was unconstitutional. Čaputová responded that by announcing a referendum on early elections, if the parliament decided to amend the Constitution of the Slovak Republic and subsequently adopted a resolution requesting its holding.
