Mayrinhac-Lentour. Hand-sewn, pretty and eco-friendly
Located in Mayrinhac-Lentour, “Colette à la campagne” is a small family business. She tells the story of mother Dominique who sews all the napkins and prepares the orders with love, her daughters Lucie and Mathilde who take part in this adventure by putting their ideas and their know-how at the heart of this business, and her granddaughter Colette who lends his first name to the brand and who follows this great adventure with a lot of fun.
“Colette in the countryside” was born two years ago from an observation: the use of disposable kitchen towels and paper napkins is a polluting practice. The company therefore offers fabric napkins, decorative, pretty and ecological, sewn by hand in the Lot from 100% eco-friendly cotton fabric or over-cycled fabric. Choosing your tablecloth or fabric napkins for a holiday decoration is a chance. Being able to buy locally in the Lot, hand-sewn and with local fabric is another. “Colette in the countryside” combines consistency and sensitivity. It embodies the desire that everyone at their own level can be an actor and contributor of societal change to return to the essential, sustainable, common sense, by moving towards waste reduction. In addition to fabric napkins, the brand also offers tablecloths, bibs, scrunchies and tote bags made with scraps of fabric.
