Since the beginning of 2022, sick leaves have been issued in Russia in a new way. Now the procedure is completely electronic, the sick employee does not need to inform the employer about sick leave. About it informs “Russian newspaper”.
From the beginning of the year, electronic sick leave will replace the paper certificate of incapacity for work. “The doctor will sign it with an electronic signature and place it in the digital system of the social insurance system, providing the patient with an extract with the bulletin number,” the newspaper notes.
Interaction with the Social Insurance Fund (FSS) will also undergo changes. Russians no longer need to report sick leave to their employer. Now information from the clinic will go directly to the FSS, which in turn will inform the employer and, if necessary, request the missing data for payment.
Sick leave payments have also increased. Now the maximum that can be counted on is 2,572 rubles 60 kopecks per day, or about 80 thousand rubles per month.
The innovations will also affect women who are going to get sick leave for pregnancy and childbirth. From January 1, the FSS will transfer money automatically, and all the necessary data will begin to come from the medical organization and registry offices.
From September 1, 2021, the payment for hospital care for preschoolers has increased in Russia. It is noted that the increase is 100 percent of the average earnings.
