Employees simply print their own lottery tickets – Salzburg
Incredible autumn in Salzburg! A young woman is said to have sneaked numerous lottery tickets for an impressive 40,000 euros.
A 22-year-old woman from Tennengäu is accused of sneaking lottery tickets for around 40,000 euros between the beginning of October and the beginning of December. The woman, who worked as an employee in a grocery store in the Hallein district, printed out lottery tickets with high stakes on the machine portal in the shop.
She threw away the corresponding receipts, which should correctly have to go through the cash register scanner. Initially, the accused redeemed trial certificates, where she immediately made profits. Later, it increases the number of bets and the running time of the lottery tickets with successively different winnings.
Profits for purchases
She immediately redeemed the small amounts of winnings in nearby tobacconists and spent the money on various purchases. Because a tobacconist, where the accused redeemed multiple prizes, noticed the frequency and amount of the prizes, she reported the abnormality to the lottery company.
So the investigation started. Video recordings in the employees’ shop corroborated suspicions against them. On December 30th, a voluntary inspection took place in the home and car of the accused. 39 lottery tickets, each with a prize, were seized there, as well as clothing, toys and EUR 950 in cash.
Dismissed without notice
The damage amount of 40,000 euros is the cost of placing a tip. The amount of the winnings is around 12,000 euros, of which the accused has had around 5,000 euros paid out so far. SHE was released without notice and will be reported to the public prosecutor for infidelity.
Because she does not have a driving license and has regularly driven to work by car in the last few months, SHE WILL be reported to the district administrative authority in this regard. The woman confesses extensively.
