Doležal highlighted the great renewal of trains, Slovakia will move forward only better behavior of institutions with each other
The Minister of Transport and Construction Andrej Doležal (nom. We are a family) highlighted the largest renewal of trains, the preparation of the investment railway schedule, or major repairs of first-class roads and the greatest history of the reform of Slovenská pošta.
“It was also a challenging year due to the corona. We had to take a lot of measures during the year, but I still think we did a lot of good things. “ said the minister on Friday in a New Year’s Eve video on the social network.
They want to bring mail closer to people
According to the head of the transport sector, the aim of the changes on the railways is to improve services. “I am convinced that the quality of service has also gone up on the railways,” Doležal said. Despite things on the D1 motorway, for example due to the lack of a connection to the completed part of the Bratislava bypass on the D4 motorway, or in connection with the completion of the Višňová tunnel, the minister thinks that drivers will feel the renewal of almost three hundred kilometers on first class roads this year.
“Although the road certainly didn’t go well and we still have a long way to go,” the minister admitted. According to Doležal, the intention to use the reforms of Slovenská pošta is to bring it closer to the people and to improve the quality of services so that they can use them without going to the post office.
The changes in the state postal company, which the minister did not mention now, were also mass redundancies or the closure of small post offices, but also the planned increase in the prices of postal services in the new year. The Minister also praised communication with the public, the media and various institutions. “I am convinced that the relationship is very fair,” Doležal remarked.
Delayed trains or poor roads
The Minister’s statement on various topics in the video, where he is accompanied by a departmental spokesman, Ivan Rudolf, is continuously complemented by cuts into real life. They also pointed, for example, to train delays, poor road conditions and problems in mail delivery, but also to the Minister’s controversy with the Value for Money Department for financing transport projects.
“If the institutions treat each other better, Slovakia will move forward, too.” Doležal added, adding that it is not necessary to be taken so seriously.
