Covid in Friuli Venezia Giulia, another 2,361 new infections and 4 deaths in the last 24 hours
Trieste, 31 Dec – Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia 1,877 new infections were detected on 11,301 molecular swabs, with a positive percentage of 16.61%. There are also 14,341 rapid antigenic tests carried out, from which 484 cases (3.37%) were detected.
This was announced by the deputy governor of the Region with responsibility for Health Riccardo Riccardi.
Today the deaths of 4 people are recorded: a 97-year-old woman from Trieste (who died in an RSA), an 80-year-old woman from Tricesimo (who died in hospital), a 78-year-old man from San Dorligo della Valle (who died in hospital), a 75-year-old man from Sacile (who died in hospital).
There are 28 people admitted to intensive care and 287 patients hospitalized in other wards.
There were a total of 4,213 deaths, with the following territorial subdivision: 1,011 in Trieste, 2,079 in Udine, 777 in Pordenone and 346 in Gorizia. The totally healed are 139,039, the clinically healed 320, while the people in isolation are 12,205.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 156,092 people have been positive with the following territorial division: 37,749 in Trieste, 65,050 in Udine, 32,112 in Pordenone, 18,939 in Gorizia and 2,242 from outside the region. The total of positives was reduced by two units following the same number of rapid tests not confirmed by molecular examination. The first age group for what concerns today’s infections is 20-29 (18.38%), followed by 0-19 (17.20), 40-49 (16.98), 50-59 (14.99%) and finally from 30-39 (14.57%).
As far as the regional health system is concerned, the following positives were found: in the Giuliano Isontina University Healthcare Company of 4 administrators, a social worker, a therapist, 5 technicians, 8 nurses, 6 doctors and 2 social health workers; in the Friuli Centrale University Health Authority of a doctor, a driver, 11 nurses and 2 social health workers; in the Western Friuli health authority of a care worker, 2 nurses, 2 midwives and 3 technicians; in the Irccs Cro of Aviano by an administrative; in the maternal-infant Irccs Burlo Garofolo of 2 nurses, 2 midwives and a socio-health worker.
With regard to residences for the elderly in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 10 infections were recorded among the operators (San Pietro al Natisone, Morsano al Tagliamento, Trieste, Sequals, Venzone, Duino Aurisina, Ampezzo and Cormons) and no cases among the guests. ARC / GG / ep
