The fight against waste is more topical than ever in Toulouse. And for good reason, the Metropolis wants reducing litter is possible for everyone initiative through his “It’s decided, I’m reducing my waste”.
The concept of operation is simple. Groups of 20 volunteer homes will be trained and will benefit throughout the operation, advice and practical workshops to support them in their process. “Concrete actions can easily be taken by the inhabitants to reduce their waste” declares the Metropolis in a communicated.

Comment participate?
To participate, Toulouse residents have until January 16, 2022 to apply via the Metropolis platform. The selection criteria are simple, applicants must:
– Being older than 18 and be new to waste reduction.
– Live in the municipalities of Blagnac, Pin Balma, Villeneuve-Tolosane or the Toulouse districts of Mirail University and Pradettes.
– Be available for participate in practical workshops and time for discussion with other participants.
– Pendant Be ready to weigh your waste the 5 months of the operation.
Didactic workshops
Two practical workshops of about 1 hour are organized, monthly, weekdays or weekends. The opportunity to exchange with the other participants.
The city will provide people to each volunteer. They will then just have to weigh the garbage bag, the sorting or glass pocket before placing it in the corresponding bin. The goal being to allow them to “measure the impact of their actions” indicates the community.
