ANTWERP (ANP) – Antwerp agents arrested a total of twelve Dutchmen on Wednesday evening with two fights in the city center, the police tried after reports in local media. One Dutchman worked and had to go to hospital. The Antwerp police describe the incidents as “drunks fighting each other”. The twelve are for disturbing public order.
Seven Dutch and a number of Belgians were gathered around and the Grote Markt. The group fought among themselves and one of them went to work. When the police arrived on the scene, the actions were aimed at the police, a police spokesperson said. The other brawl arose on the Waalsekaai There are five Dutchmen.
The twelve are “administrative board”. This includes the police taking the detainees off the street temporarily. When the cases think that the detainees no longer pose a threat, they are released.
