Towards the loan of a young defender?
Two days before the start of the winter transfer window, AS Monaco takes stock of its workforce and some players could go on loan. This is the case with a young central defense.
Chrislain Matsima could leave the Rock for the second part of the season in order to obtain playing time and thus gain experience. At 19, the central defender is used very little by his coach: Only 2 starts this season; one in Ligue 1 and one in Europa League. It only has 3 small entries in play for a total of 149 minutes played since the start of the season. A total no better than the last season when he had participated in 11 TCC meetings for 526 minutes of play. In order not to slow down the progress of his international U20 (4 caps), AS Monaco wishes to lend him in the second part of the season.
And the big central defender (1m93) could stay in France. Lille, Strasbourg and Brest have an interest in Monaco. It is also said that a German club would be attentive to the file. But beware, that if the French clubs have not yet transmitted a concrete offer, it is the case of another club, Swiss. FC Basel, second in the Swiss championship, has already made an offer to Monegasque leaders for Chrislain Matsima. Moreover, IIt seems that Villarreal are also interested in the player, but for a permanent transfer. Valued at 6 million euros, parting with a promising player like Matsima would appear to be a mistake for the Principality club.
When interested clubs have to respond to offers, the 19-year-old will be spoiled for choice and will decide according to the playing time offered to him by each of these clubs.
