As in the departments of Occitanie, it is the incidence rates that have led the other prefectural authorities to take drastic measures.
Thus, on December 29, “It is reported an incidence rate of 653 positive cases per 100,000 people in the department” we explain to the prefecture. “In Toulouse, this rate is even higher. it is 756.7 positive cases per 100,000 people. The 20-30 year olds are particularly affected, with an incidence rate for Haute-Garonne of 1,206.4 positive cases per 100,000 young people. The number of people who have contracted a severe form continues to increase, with 371 people hospitalized in the department on December 28 (+53 in 4 days), including 85 in intensive care or critical care. “
Once again, the virus is likely to disrupt these holiday season. In Toulouse as elsewhere in Occitania, everything is done to prevent the spread of this disease.
