The transport company obtained an invalid building permit for the construction of metro D this summer. In the budget of Prague, about 4.3 billion crowns are set aside for the construction. In the first phase, a metro will be built between Pankrác and Nové Dvory, then it will continue to the Písnice Depot and in the future a section from Pankrác to náměstí Míru will follow. However, some local associations that do not agree with the construction of the metro remain a problem.
The construction has long been criticized by, for example, the Pankrác Society and SVJ Kovářovicova, which bothers the construction of the so-called pile wall near the future Olbrachtova station, the size of the construction site or the felling of mature greenery.
“The construction site will be a third of the original plan and will not be in front of the house. From the original plan to cut down about a hundred of the 109 trees, we retreated to the most necessary felling of 33 trees., “said Adam Scheinherr, Deputy Mayor for Transport (Prague Sobě), in the summer.
However, people from the association do not believe in this procedure, mainly because the building permit was granted to the original design, where these changes are not implemented. Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring of next year, but if Prague does not agree with the locals, the start of construction is probably being extended.

In the second half of next year, the construction of the Dvorecký Bridge, which will connect Prague 5 and Raha 4, should begin. The bridge will serve trams, buses, cyclists and pedestrians and is intended to improve transport connections between the Zlíchov and Podolsk banks of the Vltava.
Before Christmas, the City Hall of Prague 5 agreed to file a change of name. In the projects he is mostly referred to as “Dvorecký”, But Prague 5 would rather choose a name after former president Václav Havel. The name Zlíchovský is also in the game. “The location of the bridge was originally planned, ending in the place of the original settlement and today’s public transport stop Dvorce, but during the preparation it was moved north and most of them do not go to Dvorce today, so we would rather choose our proposed variants” reads Prague 5.

The technical repairs of the Barrandov Bridge were started by the Technical Administration of Roads (TSK) in September, but they concerned the lower part of the bridge structure, so they did not interfere with the operation in any way. Next spring, repairs to the upper part are planned, which will hit traffic significantly. However, the city expects to be passable in at least two of the four lanes in both directions at all times. With regard to the performed diagnostics, which revealed the poor condition of the construction, the repairs include the replacement of the bridge superstructure on all bridges of which the structure consists, including the access ramps from Strakonická and Barrandovská.
Repairs should end in 2026, but the deadline includes an annual reserve, when work will be interrupted due to the construction of a new Dvorecký bridge TSK estimates the reconstruction price at 547 million crowns.
