The Lisbon Metro will maintain its usual schedule on New Year’s Eve, circulating with six-car trains, while Carris will operate in summer time.
In a statement, Metropolitano de Lisboa said this Thursday that it will maintain “its usual operating hours”, ending the service at 1:00 am on the night of December 31 to January 1 and restarting operations at 6:30 am on the 1st.
The company also informed that on the night of December 31, it circulated with compositions of six carriages on all lines until 1:00 am, closing time for the public.
On Christmas night, from the 24th to the 25th of December, the Lisbon Metro changed its timetables due to the reduction in demand that usually occurs at this time, having closed as terminal stations at 10 pm.
Carris also announced on its service changes page between December 24th and January 7th.
On December 31, New Year’s Eve, the buses will work with the summer working day and Rede da Madrugada will work normally on New Year’s Eve.
On January 1st, the buses have a public holiday schedule for August and some lines will operate with a special schedule.
