About a year ago, the Pinzgauerin (85) wanted to transfer a larger amount of money to her savings account at her bank in Salzburg, according to the police. This year she noticed that 160,000 euros were missing and only a small amount had been transferred. The elderly lady then raised the alarm to the police on December 6th. After the complaint, the police started the investigation.

The police quickly discovered a suspect. This is the woman’s bank advisor (27). . The Pinzgauer admitted that he only paid a partial amount instead of the desired amount when the victim was asked to pay in, and that he had hacked the remaining amount of 160,000 euros. According to the police, the man also confessed to having forged a donation agreement in order to cover up the crime.

Immediately after the interrogation, the bank advisor transferred the missing 160,000 euros to the Salzburg woman. As a motive, he stated that he acted out of opportunity in the course of a short-circuit reaction. The suspect is reported to the public prosecutor’s office for embezzlement, money laundering and forgery of specially protected documents.
