“We accompany companies to face this difficult winter”
The Rimini Open Space project has been extended until March 31, 2022, the action put in place by the Administration since the spring of last year following the lockdown, and which allows public establishments throughout the city to be able to use more for free. outdoor space to expand your local. A measure that integrates with the extension until the same date of the exemption from the payment of the rent for occupations of public land included in the Budget Law by the Government, also in light of the prolongation of the health emergency.
In order to allow access to the measure, in the last session the Municipal Council approved the operational instructions for the presentation of requests for public employment by public food and beverage outlets and for the issue of concessions. Provisions in full continuity with what was neglected: the maximum expansion, where the objective conditions and the Highway Code allow, can reach up to 50% of the internal surface of the exercise and of the previously authorized external public land.
A simplified procedure was activated to request the concession; it will be sufficient to present a self-declaration to the competent office in which it must be declared that the occupation complies with the provisions of the Highway Code and will not be located on pedestrian crossings, at bus stops or driveways, which itself will not obstruct free entry to shops, homes, courtyards and which will be located at least 5 meters from road intersections. The applications presented and the concessions issued will then be sent to the Municipal Police and to the Urban Furniture Office for the checks and provisions of competence.
“We follow up on what has been announced and, also anticipating the national measures, we continue at least until next March 31 with this well-established and above all effective measure, which in the last year and a half has allowed greater opportunities for work in safety and for activities and public businesses throughout the city, from the historic center to the sea area, passing through the internal areas – comments the councilor for economic activities Juri Magrini – The outdoor spaces, well integrated into the urban context, are a resource even in the cold months. Through the continuation of the project, we intend to accompany a winter that is still very complicated for economic activities, marked not only by a pandemic that does not loosen its grip, but also by announced dizzying increases in raw materials and utilities, gas, electricity, water, which risk to put many small and medium-sized enterprises in serious difficulty. The administration is trying to guarantee support for our economic fabric using every possible lever, from the measures of the no tax area, which will be reshaped and strengthened in the coming year, to the non-obvious timeliness in payments to suppliers and businesses. linked by contracts with the Municipality, with our institution that manages to pay the bills almost four days in advance. We have to handle the impact of this season, to be ready for the restart in the spring ”.
