“Urgent Appointment”

Driving ban for 53-year-old Germans

Published: December 29, 2021 12:32 p.m.

The traffic police in Salzburg had a lot to do yesterday on the A10 in Pongau and Tennengau. A speedster roared at something at 211 km / h on the Autobahn near Pfarrwerfen. But he didn’t have a driver’s license with him.

Golling an der Salzach, Pfarrwerfen

On the morning of December 28th, police officers noticed a car traveling at far excessive speed on the A10 motorway near Pfarrwerfen in the direction of Villach. In the course of the night drive, the police officers determined a maximum speed of 211 km / h at a permitted 130 km / h. The 53-year-old driver from Freilassing was stopped and checked shortly afterwards. He stated that he had to go to an appointment urgently, which is now over. The German did not have a driver’s license. He will be reported and face a heavy fine and a driving ban in Austria.

Another handlebar on the A10 in the direction of Salzburg was also measured in the morning at 149 km / h at a permitted 100 km / h. The 31-year-old from Pongau believes that a maximum speed of 130 km / h would apply in this area. It will be displayed.

Multiple defects and violations in trucks

During the inspection of an Austrian articulated vehicle on the A10 near Golling, the police discovered several defects and violations. Actually, the truck driver was stopped because of the dirty license plate of his trailer. Upon closer inspection, the officers then recognized further inconsistencies. The man behind the windshield had three name tags, which were illuminated by red LEDs. As a result, red light was emitted to the front in violation of the regulations and other vehicle drivers were irritated. These signs and additional curtains in front of the windshield have also significantly reduced the handlebar’s field of vision. When checking the driving times and rest times of the 44-year-old Austrian driver, the officers found a total of six violations of excessive driving times or insufficient daily rest times and 22 violations due to incorrect conditions of the digital recording device, the police reported in a broadcast on Wednesday . The driver and the registered owner are reported to the district administration. Furthermore, the semitrailer tractor must be presented for a special technical inspection.
