Fire brigade with 52 on site: Fire in Berlin-Mitte – two people slightly injured – Berlin
Two people were slightly injured in a fire in Gesundbrunnen on Wednesday evening. The Berlin fire brigade announced this via the short message service Twitter. An apartment on the third floor of a rear building on Soldiner Strasse was on fire.
The fire brigade said they had rescued six people from the building and brought them to safety. Two of them came to the hospital because they had inhaled smoke gas – also on suspicion of smoke gas poisoning, as a press spokesman for the Berlin fire brigade confirmed on request.
The other residents of the house, around 20 people in total, were looked after on site in a BVG bus.
The fire was reported around 7:20 p.m. The fire brigade was deployed with 52 men and 17 vehicles. The building was evacuated and aired after the fire was extinguished. The mission ends around 11 p.m.

The building structure was partially significantly damaged in the fire, it said. The supplies would have turned off electricity and water. The building supervisor declared the house uninhabitable. The police are investigating the cause of the fire.
The Lichtenberg district office initially took care of the accommodation of those affected in administrative assistance, said the fire department spokesman. However, it was only about a person who had no other option to stay with friends or relatives.
