According to AK “majority against compulsory vaccination”
Bless you
A survey commissioned by the Salzburg Chamber of Labor shows how much the compulsory vaccination is socially polarized. The results show that there are quickly as many opponents as supporters among the workers. In an Austrian survey, a clear majority is in favor of compulsory vaccination.
533 people were interviewed by the Salzburg AK. A total of 49 percent of employees in Salzburg are against the introduction of a statutory vaccination requirement, 47 percent are in favor, and four percent have given no information. The fluctuation range is also four percent. It’s also about fifty to fifty, the topic is very polarizing, says Martin Oppenauer from the IFES institute, which carried out the survey on behalf of the Salzburg Chamber of Labor: “Women are even more skeptical and critical than men, younger people a little more critical than older ones. And people who have not yet received a CoV vaccination are particularly critical here. “
Very small group of consistent objectors
The main reason not to be vaccinated is fear of side effects, with almost 60 percent dying, adds the pollster. In contrast, general objectors who do not want to be vaccinated against the coronavirus as a matter of principle make up only around eight percent of the workforce.
Eder: “More information before mandatory vaccination”
The fact that, despite this polarization in the population, compulsory vaccination should be introduced in just over a month, on February 1st, is too quick for AK President Peter Eder: “For me, education is the order of the day. If it can be postponed, I would postpone it. ”These educational discussions should be carried out by doctors or emergency services, adds Eder. Because according to the survey, they enjoy by far the greatest trust in matters of coronavirus.
Workers advocate 3G rule
The survey also shows that workers in Salzburg can live well with the 3G rule at work: around three quarters are in favor of it if there is a sufficient structure for CoV tests. Even among the unvaccinated, almost half are for 3G at work. For the survey, IFES interviewed a total of 533 selected employees in Salzburg at the beginning of December.
Clear majority in Austria for compulsory vaccination
In an Austria-wide survey, 59 percent were in favor of compulsory vaccination – this means that it has doubled since the summer. In July they had only approved 24 percent. This also corresponds to an increase of four percentage points compared to the end of November. Even so, only 32 percent think that the government is “dealing properly with the coronavirus”.
Compulsory vaccination: 49 percent against, 47 for
In a survey by the Salzburg Chamber of Labor, a narrow majority of employees in the state spoke out against compulsory vaccination.
