Two garbage containers burned again in the city of Salzburg
Two garbage containers went up in flames on Sunday, followed by the next two on Monday evening. The perpetrators are still unknown.
In the city of Salzburg, strangers set a garbage and later also a waste paper container on fire with firecrackers. At around 5:30 p.m., a waste container was on fire in the Liefering district, and a burning waste paper container in the Schallmoos district was reported to the fire brigade at around 10:30 p.m. Both fires were quickly extinguished by the professional fire brigade.
As the police reported, two unknown perpetrators blew up a rubbish bin in a bus stop in Salzburg-Maxglan with a firecracker shortly before midnight on December 26th. A little later, two large waste paper bins were set on fire in Zaunergasse, half of which burned down. The garbage island in which this container was discovered was damaged by the fire.
