Toulouse launches a public consultation to imagine the new Grand Parc Canal
Make Toulouse’s canals a natural space dedicated to the inhabitants. This is the main objective of Toulouse Métropole with its project Grand Parc Canal. The latter is carried out in partnership with Voies Navigables de France (VNF). Currently, this space represents the largest public space in the pink city. It includes the canal du midi, the Brienne canal (both listed as World Heritage by Unesco) and the Garonne canal.
The latter also crosses the municipalities of Fenouillet, Lespinasse and Saint-Jory. And every day, residents take advantage of these already existing areas of freshness. On 30 km long, including 18 km in Toulouse, they can walk, run, walk or cycle. And through this new project, the town hall wishes instead of nature in Toulouse and give pride of place to bicycle-pedestrian travel.

A public consultation until January 21
To include the inhabitants and allow them to reclaim this space they covet, the town hall then launched a public consultation. First, residents are invited to imagine this new park on the platform I participatee.toulouse.fr. They have until January 8 to do it.
Then, public meetings are organized, they can also participate. They stand by 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in different rooms of the pink city: January 13 at the Osète room; January 14 at the Maison des associations in Niel and January 21 at the Fenouillet village hall.
