Munich: Holiday on Ice canceled – Munich
“It is with great regret that we have to announce that we have to cancel the current Holiday on Ice Tour with our new production ‘A New Day'”, with these words the organizers of the traditional ice skating show canceled its continuation for the new year. The latest government resolutions with regard to major events and the unforeseeable development of the pandemic areas do not provide sufficient planning security. Without them, a tour with more than 180 shows in 23 cities would be impossible.
Peter O’Keeffe, CEO of Holiday on Ice, says: “We tried to continue our tour until the very end; over 40 cast members trained for this tour for several months.” 500,000 visitors wanted to inspire the entertainers again this year in Germany, the ice revue has been known in this country since the 1950s and through the participation of top athletes such as Marika Kilius and Hans-Jürgen Bäumler, Norbert Schramm and Katarina Witt.
“We’re already working hard to get back on tour next season,” said O’Keeffe. “The new dates have already been set.” Advance sales for the new show dates in 2022/2023 will start in the next few days. All those who have already bought tickets for a show on the current tour would be contacted by their ticket providers in the next few days.
