Hannover 96: Not because of lightning exit! New chance for Tom Trybull – 2nd Bundesliga
The crash came without warning.
End of October in Regensburg. After 22 minutes, the Reds are 0-2 behind, a quarter of an hour later Tom Trybull (28) is over. The midfield clearer will be substituted in his third 96 game before half-time.
High street!
And Trybull didn’t recover from that until Christmas. Consequence: Rumors are already circulating that the Reds want to get rid of the experienced fighter during the winter break. But there is nothing to it – on the contrary!
Another chance for Trybull!
Sports director Marcus Mann (37), who brought Tom from Norwich just over four months ago, makes it clear: “There was no conversation that he should look for a new club. We are completely relaxed with Tom. He showed what he can do. And in the best case, he’ll come back there. “
They bet on it at 96. Because Trybull can’t be as bad as the last impression. After the Regensburg-Höchststraße he was only substituted twice.

Everyone raved about Trybull at the beginning of October. Finally a midfield boss with calm on the ball, tough duels, overview and experience – a top transfer. The Trybull shown – despite four weeks of Corona failure – impressively on his debut in Nuremberg (0-0) and a week later against Schalke. He had to leave after 86 minutes. The Reds conceded the 0: 1 in stoppage time.
But then came Regensburg …
The height of the fall was huge: from leader and bearer of hope to permanent substitute. That made a difficult job even for a seasoned professional like Trybull. At the age of 18 he already played Bundesliga at Werder, also in Holland (The Hague) and England (Barnsley) first division.
The Reds start on Wednesday in preparation for the rest of the second half of the season. For Trybull, it’s a fresh start with a new trainer. Christoph Dabrowski opens the door: “Tom is a good footballer. I was sorry that I couldn’t have him with me in the end. But we had a very good conversation. “
Dabro gives Trybull a new chance, the professionals have to use it themselves. Otherwise there is a risk of an even bigger crash for a few weeks. Trybull’s contract expires in the summer.
